One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." - Albert Einstein |

This page will - as soon as I find time - comprise more thoughts (my personal "theories") about various social aspects of our society. I believe that we can only find global solutions to those ecological challenges if politicians can effort making "the right" decisions. At the moment many of the required decisions (e.g. higher taxes on fuel prices, more investment into renewable energy sources) are largely unpopular i.e. the majority of the population wouldn't support them. Hence, changes need to take place in the way we think and deal with each other, first within the family, before anything significant can happen on a larger scale. We will have to move on from the cave man thinking (the "having mode of living") towards a responsible modern human being that is not only interested in "short term surviving" (the "being mode of living"). I believe in "honesty" and "knowledge" as the base of a healthy and successful life of every human individual - and society. I have found that many of my thoughts (and much more) in that context have already been written down - much better than I ever could - by e.g. Erich Fromm in "To Have or to Be?" and "The Art of Loving", and much is implied in Aldous Huxley's "Island". I personally can highly recommend those books to everybody who feels responsible not only for him/her-self. Read more: [Trust & Fear] [Poem about life-goals]
